Academies open to schedule and on budget

The Academies team have been hard at work this year with the project management of Pimlico Academy in Westminster, Open Academy in Norwich and Academy 360 in Sunderland.

Justin Wilson (HNE) led the Pimlico Academy to the fastest ever Funding Agreement signing in March supported by the Cambridge office.

Barry Gooden (HNE) and the Cambridge team controlled community anxiety towards the Open Academy project whilst retaining good relations and providing fantastic support to the Academy’s staff.

Jane Gaskell (MEC) took the helm of the Academy 360 project during the summer to ensure the successful transition of the two predecessor schools into the first Academy in Sunderland supported by fellow MEC colleagues in Leeds.

All three academies have had their challenges; however successful openings in September, to schedule and on budget, is testament to the hard work and determination of all three teams to get the job done, and done well.
