Incorporating global partnerships in school self evaluation

New Ofsted framework

Global school partnerships have the potential to:

  • develop pupils’ social and cultural awareness
  • contribute to pupils’ personal achievements
  • offer curriculum enrichment
  • link to the wider community, particularly through extended schools

Schools may wish to:

  • demonstrate the impact of these partnerships through their self-evaluation consultations, and in this way celebrate the global partnership within the new Ofsted framework
  • use the global partnership to demonstrate their provision for aspects of Every Child Matters, particularly enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution and achieving economic well-being.

Celebrate your partnerships by:

  • researching and evaluating the effect of the global partnership on the wider school community. This could be done, for example, through surveys of pupils, parents and visitors to the school.
