The intention of the accredited inspectorate scheme is to allow British and overseas parents to identify British curriculum schools abroad that will provide education comparable with that provided in independent schools in Britain, insofar as this is compatible with the legal requirements of the host country. The standards, developed by Cambridge Education for the DfE, are underpinned by rigorous inspection arrangements quality assured by Ofsted.
Cambridge Education inspections provide schools with an independent evaluation of how well they are doing and what they need to do to improve. These new government-backed arrangements ensure that inspection reports are clear, concise and consistent and set out the extent to which participating British schools meet rigorous standards. Most importantly, Cambridge Education’s arrangements are designed to help schools maintain and achieve high standards in all that they do.
