School organisation
School organisation is one of the building blocks of school improvement and, ultimately, of young people's enjoyment and achievement.
Falling rolls in the provinces, rising roles in many cities, the outmoding of middle schools and the Building Schools for the Future programme have all contributed to Local Authorities re-examining the way in which schools are organised in their area.
Any re-examination requires careful groundwork to be laid - forecasts of numbers on roll, informal consultation and comparisons with other places. Formal consultation needs to be handled very carefully and can often tax existing staffing levels.
Cambridge Education has considerable expertise and experience to offer Local Authorities, through projects undertaken and through the experience and expertise that its permanent staff and its associates have accrued over many years.
We are not pretending school reorganisation is easy, but it is a nettle that Local Authorities are increasingly having to grasp.
We can:
- analyse existing provision;
- work on forecast numbers on roll;
- bring considerable experience and skill to bear on projects;
- make comparisons across the country;
- work alongside Local Authority staff to increase capacity.
